• In Q4 2019, Bangkok’s total retail supply was 7.7 million square metres, increasing by 0.58% Q-o-Q or 2.94% Y-o-Y. There was an additional retail space of 50,848 square metres of lettable area from four newly completed retail developments.
• The amount of occupied retail space reached 7.3 million square metres, increasing by 3.39% Y-o-Y; the overall occupancy rate also increased by 0.4 percentage points Y-o-Y to 95.6%.
• Thailand’s consumer confidence index (CCI) in December 2019 fell to 68.3, dropping by 11.1 percentage points or 13.98% Y-o-Y, the lowest since April 2014.
• The retail sales index in November 2019, according to the Bank of Thailand (BOT), was reported at 256.4 or a decrease of 3.36% Y-o-Y.
