A highly productive mixed faming enterprise located at Savernake in the Southern Riverina of New South Wales is being offered to market for the first time in more than 30 years.

CBRE Agribusiness and Fox & Lillie Rural are managing the sale via an Expressions of Interest Campaign.

Held by the Mitchell family since 1990, the properties comprise approximately 627.55 hectares (1,550.65 acres) of productive mixed farming country and are being offered for sale as a whole or as two separate holdings.

The offering comprises Kilpa (519.4 hectares) and the non-contiguous Hatty’s (108.15 hectares), featuring fertile red loam soils, reliable water infrastructure, productive cropping country, extensive livestock improvements and a beautifully renovated family homestead.

CBRE Agribusiness Director Matt Childs said the offering presented buyers with the opportunity to secure a highly regarded mixed farming asset in one of southern New South Wales’ tightly held agricultural districts.

“Opportunities of this calibre are becoming increasingly difficult to source, particularly where buyers can acquire a productive mixed farming enterprise with quality soils, reliable water, excellent infrastructure and genuine lifestyle appeal,” Mr Childs said.

“The Mitchell family has carefully developed the property over more than three decades, creating a well-balanced operation that offers flexibility across both cropping and livestock enterprises,” he added.

Approximately 40 hectares of laser-levelled irrigated country and over 490 hectares of arable dryland cropping country support efficient broadacre cropping operations, while approximately 25 hectares of established Old Man Saltbush provide valuable shelter and feed for livestock.

The property has consistently supported rotations of wheat, canola, barley, oats for hay, pasture and fallow, with grain yields exceeding seven tonnes per hectare in favourable seasons.

Fox & Lillie Rural Director Ron Creek said the versatility of the offering and the flexibility to purchase either one or both holdings would appeal to a broad range of buyers.

“Kilpa and Hatty’s provide scale and flexibility for existing farming businesses looking to expand, while also presenting an outstanding opportunity for investors and family operators seeking quality mixed farming country in a tightly held location,” Mr Creek said.

“The combination of productive soils, dependable water, modern farming infrastructure and a beautifully renovated homestead makes this a genuinely complete rural offering,” he added.

The property is supported by a comprehensive stock and domestic water system incorporating multiple dams, gravity-fed reticulated stock water, substantial rainwater storage and a Stock and Domestic Water Right through the West Corurgan Private Irrigation District.

Reliable farming improvements include a machinery shed, three-stand shearing shed, Bugle steel sheep yards, extensive renewed fencing and a WildEye weather station with real-time soil moisture monitoring technology.

Positioned on an elevated hilltop, the renovated three-bedroom homestead enjoys expansive views across the surrounding farmland and has been extensively upgraded with modern finishes, solar power and energy-efficient improvements.

Kilpa’ and Hatty’s are offered for sale by Expressions of Interest closing Wednesday, 23 September 2026 at 4.00pm (AEST).
